‘The Last Maritime and Fishing Community on the North Thames’ This Film was produced in Spring 2019 in order to provide an insight into the past, present and future of the Port of Leigh (Old Leigh). The Port remains active as a centre for the fisheries and maritime sectors, providing jobs and supporting the local economy including retail, hospitality and tourism. Over the last few years work has been taking place to ensure that the Port has a strong future as a centre for the Maritime and Fisheries sectors – the last on the North Thames.
